I have suffered from insomnia for a vast majority of my life. Insomnia keeps me awake half of the night. I never get a great night of quality sleep. I tried a great deal of unusual things to help my insomnia, but it has been chronic most of my life. I tried a lot of unusual things to help me go to sleep more easily. I went to bed at the same time every day for a month… Before I got ready to go to sleep, I took a shower and turned off all of the lights and the noises. I also officially exercise several times a week. I didn’t drink any alcohol or caffeine before I got ready to go to bed and I never ate past 7:00. Still, I unfortunately continued to have complications with insomnia. I finally talked to my healthcare worker about medical marijuana… The healthcare worker thought that medical marijuana might be able to help me sleep better and stay asleep for much longer. The healthcare worker told me that there might be some side effects similar to dizziness, low blood pressure, rapid heartbeat, and possibly an increased appetite. The indicas definitely help me relax and fall asleep, but I wake up feeling sort of like I am starving. When I smoke an Indica strain before I go to sleep, I wake up in the morning and I feel sort of like I am starving. I eat a sizable supper with lots of proteins such as eggs and bacon and I also have Sprite and juice. When I sleep particularly well, I have to eat well in the morning hours.
