My rural home is charming and I couldn’t ask for a more peaceful existence, however it can be strenuous living so far away from the nearest town.
A hospital is a 30 minute drive, while the greatest shopping mall is a 45 minute drive. I don’t labor any longer, but our seasoned office was an minute away from this location. Between the labor commutes and the inconvenience of having to drive long distances just to get to a random store or gas station, it can assume daunting being this far away from society. I prefer the peace and solitude that this arena affords though, and it’s hard to imagine trading living in this arena for anything in the world at this point, but most of our doctors are in this area so our drives for medical purposes never take a considerably long period of time. My family doctor is in the same exact strip mall as the town’s number one pizzeria. Unblessedly, I wasn’t so blessed when I was searching far and wide for a marijuana doctor last year. My state finally legalized medical marijuana and I needed to find a medical marijuana doctor to get a medical marijuana card. If you don’t have a medical marijuana card in this state, you cannot shop in a marijuana dispensary. My medical marijuana doctor is not near myself and others at all; in fact, he’s a 60 minute drive north of here. Despite the drive, he gives myself and others amazing service. If I need our medical marijuana recommendation bumped up at all, he’s glad to make a small increase if I call his office. Best of all, it doesn’t take long for someone to get the message and input the change into the state registry for medical marijuana patients.
