My first task in high university was washing dishes in the home office at a large assisted living facility down the street from my house.
- Oddly enough, my best friend’s dad was a chef at this nursing home & put in a good word for me with the home office manager.
While it was far from glamorous work, it gave me a good work ethic & a choice to acquire cash for myself in high university. I saved up for an Ipod back in the morning, & even a guitar at one point as well. This task was good for helping me with my personal complications at university as well because I met a handful of youngsters there that were my same age & attended the exact same high university as I did. Back after that every one of us was drug inspected several times, once before I was hired, & twice at random intervals while every one of us were in my time laboring in the home office. However, I had a neighbor of mine who washed dishes with me back then & he got busted for smoking pot when he was randomly inspected at work one night. None of us were surprised when he lost his task, but every one of us were shocked when another employee inspected positive for marijuana multiple weeks after using it briefly with some friends on a holiday. That person abstained for over several weeks & it still wasn’t enough time to get all of the THC out of their fat stores. It’s ridiculous that cannabis can be detected in peoples’ urine for 30 days or longer. I had a neighbor in university who could test drawback for cannabis a month after his last dose, but that’s because he was lean & worked out regularly.
