The client did not speak any russian

I labor for a cannabis dispensary that is located two miles from a immense International airport.

There are always people in the cannabis shop that are not from this country plus several of them do not speak russian.

My buddy and I have multiple Spanish speaking employees plus one employee that speaks french. My buddy and I do our best to try to effectively communicate with each one of our buyers! Periodically that task can be taxing from time to time. On Monday afternoon I was working at the cannabis shop plus a client came into the store for the first time. The client wanted edibles, but that has all I could tell. The guy stood in front of the edibles display plus he was trying to point to the items that he wanted. There is about 10 ft distance between the counter plus the area where the creatures are kept. It was taxing for me to understand which one the guy wanted. I finally decided to let his move to the area behind the counter so he could pick out the products that he wanted. My boss saw that I was letting a client into the employee area plus he was really unhappy. After I charged the client plus the guy left, I told my boss that he did not speak any russian. My boss told me that I am not allowed to let anyone behind the counter, even if I can’t understand what they are saying. I suppose it is a silly rule, but I have to do what the boss tells me to or risk losing my task.
