Most such stores are perfect for complementary products. Our area has a lot of stiff competition for marijuana sales. With over a dozen dispensaries sellers have to work harder to stand out which is what Kelly does. She started envisioning her shop beyond just being a weed dispensary. She turned it into a full-service store that caters to the needs of regular cannabis customers. Of course she sells weed, has more than 40 premium strains of cannabis, but she wanted more. She would also stock cannabis edibles, oils, and wax, in addition to accessory CBD products. Expect to find glass pipes, water bongs, rolling papers, and supporting tools needed for the consumption of cannabis. She won’t stop there! She also sells the unit and seeds needed to grow cannabis plants at home. In this state those interested can grow up to 12 cannabis plants on their property! Lastly, and this is her newest service as a provider – she also teaches a cannabis gardening class at the dispensary every week. Some people just don’t have the experience or the knowledge to grow their own cannabis, so as an expert she helps them to learn the basics. Her goal was to make this store the one-stop shop for everyone’s cannabis needs, no matter what that is. Can you suggest anything else she should sell at the cannabis dispensary?There could be a few areas she is yet to discover and this would make a perfect opportunity for her.

Do you know anything about the Native American reservations? Not many people can say they do but with a bit of education, it can be fascinating. First, the US government offered land to original Indian tribes. To be honest, this is a not so pleasant part of history, and many people won’t go into it because it is not that crucial to this subject anyway. However, to this day, those lands are owned by the tribes and are regarded as sovereign. In other words, they may be considered as not being part of the USA, and instead they are independent from the rest of the country. They also have their own governing laws. This is why you would find many casinos and cannabis dispensaries on reservation lands that you have ever seen anywhere else. As of now, this state allows for medical cannabis under specific circumstances, but overall pot use is heavily restricted. If a person doesn’t have a legit medical need for cannabis they will not be approved. Thankfully the reservation lands are just a 45 minute drive from here. They also have the best cannabis dispensary I’ve ever seen. The cannabis dispensary existed for close to two decades now and due to the tribal lands laws, it is fully legal. Their prices can however be a bit steep for the locally grown cannabis strains which are amazing. Even if their cannabis was crap most people would still buy it, because of lacking other options! But their stuff is among the best, as they have some of the best cannabis hybrid strains, one being the Two Wolves. I’m not one to gamble, but I go to the reservation to purchase cannabis every week.

With her new info, and a lot of patience, Kit was finally able to grow some legit cannabis plants

My friend Kit started growing weed as a hobby back during the big COVID quarantine. I have known Kit for a long time, and she never does anything halfway. When she starts a new hobby she puts everything she has into being the best at it. When it came to growing plants, it seems that Kit’s pluck and perseverance weren’t enough at first. She did not have a way with horticulture! And yet she kept trying. I remember the first time she completed a harvest of her cannabis plants, and invited me over to sample the results. It was terrible! This marijuana was weak, tasted terrible, and was chock full of seeds and stems. We had a laugh about it, but then Kit said she was going to keep trying, until she figured out how to grow the best cannabis. That was about two years ago, roughly, and Kit is still working on her marijuana plants. I am pleased to say that she has made huge improvements in her growing techniques, thanks in no small part to advice from the local cannabis dispensary. The expert budtenders sold her a great handbook about cannabis cultivation, as well as special soil and grow lights she could use. With her new info, and a lot of patience, Kit was finally able to grow some legit cannabis plants. We sampled her latest harvest, and it was easily the best yet. Perhaps not on the level of Orange Kush or Purple Haze, but still a very tasty sativa strain that got us both very stoned.

Why should a cannabis dispensary restrict itself to just selling jars of weed? That’s a start, and for everyone it’s enough – however not for us.

We are completists, and when we do something we want it to be the best.

We opened our little shop several months ago with the goal of becoming a franchise, and the most popular weed destination in town. There are many other dispensaries in the city, so we have fierce competition. We succeed by going the extra mile and doing things the other stores won’t do. Taking a growing device as an example… For all those other cannabis shops around here, none of them had growing devices in stock to sell, it had to be special order only. We filled that niche and became the top seller for marijuana grow lights and insta-grow pots in the area. We decided to take it a step further and offer gardening classes on the weekend, to teach people the best practices for growing cannabis plants at home. We need to keep growing and expanding, so our next idea is a cannabis smoker’s lounge, although that one will take some more months to put together. Imagine having a cool lounge where you can hang out, listen to songs, play games, and appreciate cannabis products? Issy’s Aunt Ethyl is such a sweet old lady.

Not only is she old and suffering from dementia, but she is also on a fixed income, and barely has enough funds to survive.

Still, she always sends Izzy a birthday card every year with three dollars in it. Three crisp, new dollar bills, every year. It means so much more than the money, because three dollars is a lot for her. Every year Izzy takes her three dollars and buys a lottery scratcher, and this year she finally picked a winner. That three dollars was transformed into four hundred dollars, and Izzy knew just what to do with it. She went to the nearest cannabis dispensary and started shopping for deals. Izzy wanted to get all the cannabis products she could, however in the spirit of Aunt Ethyl she wanted to be economical and get the most for the cash. She asked the budtender if they had any special sales going on, and learned that a new strain of OG Kush was discounted by 10%, she then pointed her to a table in the back littered with discounted items like cannabis drinks and vape cartridges getting ready to expire. Izzy was lucky enough to find three packages of sour apple cannabis gummies that were BOGO (buy one, get one free). By the time she left she had spent all her birthday funds, and a little extra, and had a nice sizable bag full of cannabis products. Izzy hoped Aunt Ethyl would approve, although she doesn’t smoke cannabis herself.
