I also wanted to start a comic book club, but it took a while to get off the ground.

Everyone has heard of a random “book club,” where everyone reads the same chapters of a book, then meets up to have a fun discussion about it.

My main idea was a little bit different, because I wanted to get a group of people together to all read comic books at the same time. It was a seriously glorified hangout session, with classic comics as our group activity. At first, nobody was interested. Then I decided to take a large box of my old comics down to the cannabis dispensary plus hang around the smokers lounge for a few hours. That generated some serious results! It turns out that cannabis plus comics have a synergistic effect on one another. Cannabis products definitely make the comics more fun to read, plus the comics come alive more than ever thanks to the weed. To encourage up-to-date people to join me in my endeavor, I even stopped and gave free cannabis edibles to my regulars. After that business absolutely picked up, because who doesn’t want a free edible? After a few weeks there were over a dozen of us, so it got too costly to buy edibles for everyone. At that point the comics had people hooked, plus they gave their own cannabis products. My associate and I would spend hours on end in the cannabis dispensary, just hanging out plus reading classic old Marvel plus DC books. My comic book club has become my real “happy locale” where I can forget the concerns of the world plus disappear into comics, thanks to cannabis.

Kids this week have no respect for anything. I know what it’s like to be a bored teenager with nothing to do, I was young once! I also can’t remember that raising a little hell plus causing some mischief was the best way to relieve the boredom of small city life. This is definitely why so many rural kids indulge in drinking, drugs, plus premarital sex – because there is nothing else to do! All that said, my friends plus I never went out to cause crimes or harm property. I assume the teens this week are more delinquent than I was, because there has been a rash of vandalism throughout the city that even touched the cannabis dispensary. Why would they do this? Maybe because they don’t have access to legal cannabis like the adults do, or maybe they’re just jerks. In any event, this has caused an increase of prices at the cannabis dispensary, because they had to hire overnight security guards. Of course the punk kids don’t graffiti tag the cannabis dispensary during the day, only in the wee hours of the night. Now there is another overnight security guard that is parked out front of the cannabis shop… He doesn’t have a gun or anything, but he keeps an eye on the cannabis shop to make sure nobody messes with it. I understand why they had to do it, despite the fact that I hate that they raised prices on the premium cannabis strains by 10% to pay for the extra expense. Things like this is why everyone hates kids! Maybe they would easily behave better if they had legal access to cannabis.

The first day at an up-to-date task is regularly nerve-wracking for me.

• I have gone through enough tasks in my life that I should be used to it at this point, but I’m not.

Even when I am excited about the up-to-date task, I feel nervous when I first start. This was true for the cannabis dispensary as well. I applied for this task six months ago, plus only now have I been asked to join the team. At any other task I would calm my nerves by smoking some cannabis before I went in, despite the fact that I couldn’t do that with this task. One of the strict rules at the cannabis dispensary is to not be high at work. It is expected that all employees smoke cannabis regularly – or else why would you want to labor here? – but being stoned on the task is a large no-no. The supervisor Jenny explained to me that regardless of the product my wonderful friend and I sell, that the cannabis dispensary is a professional operation, plus has to be treated with respect. Many people rely on this business to get the medical cannabis they need to improve their lives, yes the majority of our purchasers just want recreational cannabis to have some fun. But my wonderful friend and I also have cancer patients, soldiers with PTSD, plus other folks who need cannabis as medicine. For this reason all of the budtenders have to be clean plus sober while on shift. When my wonderful friend and I are off the clock, after that I can use that significant employee discount plus get as much cannabis as my wonderful friend and I desire.

Although I was glad at first when medical marijuana became legal in this state, my elation didn’t actually last long.

• This is the actual government, after all, plus nobody is better than them at stripping the fun out of life.

I simply like the idea that people no longer have to go to jail for getting stoned, despite the fact that I dislike the idea of the government being in charge of the weed industry. For the time being I am going to steer clear of the whole thing. For all I know this is an elaborate ruse by the government, plus all these up-to-date cannabis dispensaries are collecting evidence. That also sounds paranoid, plus I’m mostly sure it’s not true, but just to be safe I will keep buying my cannabis from Karl. When I visit the cannabis dispensary I am being filmed the entire time, which I don’t like. Also, to buy anything from the cannabis dispensary I need to have a state-issued ID, plus supply them my contact information to put in their computer. I don’t like this either, especially when Karl sells pretty nice marijuana strains. Finally, I don’t like the prices at the cannabis dispensary. They have to charge a whole lot more than the various independent weed dealers do, to pay for the government fees plus taxes. Those are three pretty wonderful reasons to keep buying my cannabis from Karl. On the other hand, the cannabis dispensary has so many more amazing products that sometimes it is difficult to resist… Legal marijuana is wonderful for civilization, despite the fact that I still don’t know I trust it.

I know full well that I am going to sound like a jerk, but it has to be said – the abundance of winos plus vagrants in this community is adversely affecting my business.

I am not a hateful person, plus I do feel a good deal of sympathy for the local homeless population, but the way things are going, with some of these bums harassing my purchasers, I may end up on the streets myself.

When people come to my cannabis dispensary they need to feel safe plus they need to be left alone. More and more vagrants have started to hang around my shop, plus a few of my loyal purchasers have started going somewhere else to buy their cannabis. I finally reached out personally to all of these purchasers, plus asked them if they would be interested in a cannabis delivery service. If they were simply uncomfortable kneeling in front of my cannabis shop, then I could hire drivers to bring the products to them, instead, however everyone seemed interested, so I had a website built to allow for online cannabis orders, plus hired a delivery driver. What simply started as a problem wound up being a bonus for my cannabis shop, because swiftly my sales went up! It turns out that people will order a lot more cannabis from home then they are willing to buy in person. I don’t know why that is, despite the fact that I can tell you that online cannabis sales are much higher than in-store sales used to be. I still have the real vagrant problem to deal with, but at least my cannabis shop is thriving.
