He went out into the side yard to smoke some cannabis

Luke asked Bev if her parents knew she smoked cannabis.

Being a single dad with a teenage child is quite a challenge. Luke is not complaining, he cherishes Jenny and being her dad is the best thing that ever happened to him. However, it’s still difficult at times. Luke has never been a teenage girl before, so he can only imagine how difficult it is these times, with social media and the rise in online bullying. When the fall semester ended, Jenny had some of her friends come over for a slumber get-together. Trying to be a great dad he stayed out of the way and let them have run of the house. Luke went out into the side yard to smoke some cannabis, thinking no one would notice. Much to his surprise he saw Bev, one of his daughter’s friends, already smoking cannabis in the yard. She tried to hide it, however anyone who has smelled the sharp scent of cannabis will assume it from some feet away. He told her to go ahead and finish it, and then he lit up his own cannabis. Luke asked Bev if her parents knew she smoked cannabis. She disclosed that they did not know, and that she had stolen the cannabis from their secret stash. Luke knew her parents already, and had smoked marijuana with them multiple times in the past. He told her that he wouldn’t tell her parents, so long as she didn’t tell Jenny that he was smoking cannabis. Bev laughed and finished her joint, then turned to him and said “your child already knows you smoke cannabis, chick.”

He still grows his own weed plants

We have been spending so much time with our Uncle Rico the last few weeks.

We knew him back when we were kids, however things are a lot different now.

Both of us are college grads, we have families of our own, and we can relate to Rico in ways we never could before. He has many amazing stories from the 60s when he was a wild and silly Hippie. Rico stills grows his own weed plants, like he has done for decades. We have been doing our best to broaden his horizons and get him out of the past and into the present, because the cannabis we have today is nothing like the stuff from the 60s. Did you know that the cannabis strains of the 60s had only a fraction of the THC that we have today? For new age marijuana smokers, we doubt the old-timey stuff would even get them stoned. We hook up Uncle Rico with top quality cannabis seeds every time he is ready to plant. He has noticed the steady increase in the quality of his cannabis, and wants to learn more about how to improve it. We took Uncle Rico down the cannabis dispensary with us so we could talk to the experts. The woman who runs the store was friendly, but she didn’t have personal experience with growing marijuana they sold multiple peculiar handbooks, and growing devices and soil additives designed to help marijuana grow faster. We are looking forward to Uncle Rico’s next batch of cannabis plants.

He hangs out at the cannabis dispensary

During the long, tepid summers of Brad’s youth he would often hang around the local ice cream shop.

This town was tiny so they didn’t even have a Dairy Queen.

They had the cheap knockoff version called Tastee Freeze. It was pretty much the same as DQ, selling ice cream treats, and burgers and fries. Brad would hang around there all morning long, eating snacks and killing time in the killer air conditioning. Back then not everyone had AC, so it was an extra treat as much as the ice cream was. He lives in a sizable town now, and is an adult so Brad doesn’t haunt the ice cream shop, instead he hangs out at the cannabis dispensary. His favorite cannabis dispensary is within walking distance of his cabin, and is open 5 mornings a week. Best of all, it has a smokers lounge on the second floor. The first level of the building is a big, sprawling cannabis shop, with aisles filled with every cannabis product you can feel. They even have a section just for farmers, with the device people need to grow marijuana plants at home. On the second floor they have the cannabis smokers lounge, or as they call it the “Chill Zone.” Here folks are allowed to relax, play games, watch films, vape, eat cannabis edibles, and basically have an enjoyable time. His favorite thing to do is to buy one of their cannabis drinks, preferably a fruit juice or seltzer, and then spike it with a flask of vodka he brought from home. Brad gets stoned and drunk all at once.

Their local cannabis shop has started a new program they call Loyalty Rewards

There were other benefits to the program, as well.

Nick and Liam’s local cannabis shop has started a new program they call Loyalty Rewards. At first they were hesitant about this idea, mostly because it costs 23 dollars per month to be a member. They thought it was just a scam, a way to take more of their cash, so they passed. It took a while, however after hearing that pitch for Loyalty Rewards every time Nick and Liam went in the shop, they came to realize that the program wouldn’t cost them, it would save them money. They are not some random dudes who prefer smoking a little marijuana every once in a while. Nick and Liam are drastic potheads, who smokes an enjoyable deal of cannabis every morning. If they only went into the cannabis dispensary once a month, the Loyalty program wouldn’t be worth it. But they visit this cannabis shop once or twice a week, and since the loyalty program provides a 12% discount on weed, it would save them money. There were other benefits to the program, as well. Loyalty Rewards members are notified of every new shipment of cannabis products, with an opportunity to pre-order them. Nick and Liam also get a maintenance treat called “favorite pick-up” which means they can sit in their automobile and a budtender will bring cannabis products out to them so they don’t have to wait in line. Liam and Nick have been told that in the future they will start offering household delivery maintenance for cannabis orders, and that they will get free delivery. That sounds neat, even though they sort of like going to see the cannabis dispensary in person.

When the cannabis wore off, her problems were still right there

Jackie always feels she can handle all her issues without any help. This is one of her character flaws, she has come to realize. A few months ago Jackie finally started going to therapy, and she admits that it was long overdue. She was so fixated on doing everyone alone, it hurt her in the long run. Therapy isn’t the right choice for everyone, and for years Jackie thought it wasn’t right for her either. She tried to bury her issues with booze and cannabis, and for a while she was so numb that she thought she was improving even though she wasn’t. When Jackie smoked cannabis all morning long, she stayed high and forgot about her issues for a while. When the cannabis wore off, her issues were still right there waiting for her. Jackie’s therapist Dr Kim said she was self-medicating with cannabis and whiskey and needed to taper off. She prescribed some pills for her to take, but she didn’t like the way they made her feel. While Jackie feels Dr Kim is helpful with her mental issues, she feels the pills are more harmful than cannabis ever was. She decided to trust her instincts and resume self-medicating with cannabis, but she did stop drinking alcohol. Dr Kim didn’t like her choice, but Jackie stood her ground, partially because cannabis is non-addictive, which wasn’t the same as about the pills she wanted her to take. Why should Jackie risk developing an addiction to these new medications when she can keep treating her stress with safe, delicious cannabis instead?
