The last few times that I smoked recreational marijuana, it didn’t entirely go all that well for me as I remember.

I have had an entirely hard time when it comes being social.

I’ve consistently been so uneasy about doing or saying stupid things in social situations. The weed that easiest for us to find back when I was in my early 20s was indica strains apparently. Because every dang time I smoked recreational marijuana with a group, I felt completely welded down to the couch. It was as though I was simply locked in locale… Not what I was looking for so much. So I tended to keep away from using cannabis, then plus, it was illegal and once I got out of college, I had a job and a family to think of. So I never entirely gave marijuana another thought until recreational marijuana became legal! My spouse Sam was the one to suggest that my superb friend and I should just take a minute or 2 to check out the local cannabis spot. I was game and I have to say that I was most surprised by what I found. Basically, we had no clue about cannabis. I didn’t know indica from sativa. The budtender at the local cannabis spot opened my eyes and the rest of my life to the attractive benefits of using sativa strains. I got some of the sativa edibles while Sam got some other cannabis products. That truly night, I blew Sam’s mind when after a brunch out, my superb friend and I made the decision to go dancing. I went out dancing because I just couldn’t not go dancing. Thanks to these sativa products, I may be on to something.

This was bound to happen and I knew that I would eventually just have to quit. I tend to labor a lot. And when I say a lot, I mean it in a way that’s just so unhealthy. Sativa and indica strains have helped me to relax, slow down and be part of this life. And that has also resulted in a better life and far better personal health.

The marijuana business hasn’t exactly snuck up on me.

In fact, the majority of my personal investment folio is related to the marijuana business.

And I do this for a living. Making money for people through investments has been a passion since college. I was doing it for friends even back then who would throw a couple of bucks my way. So when I went out on my own almost 20 years ago, the marijuana business was on my radar big time. This was a time when medical marijuana had proved to be quite successful. Not only were patients getting the cannabis products they needed to manage their misery, but the state was making money. And the whole medical marijuana experiment was initially so well thought out and executed. I found that a very, very intriguing financial prospect was beginning to take shape. Back then, I was investing in actual cannabis growers and cannabis dispensaries. That proved to be a great bet because those early marijuana business pioneers are now the cannabis industry leaders. I have been so pleased with my returns on investment that I keep pouring my profits back into cannabis related business investments. I’m still invested in a very successful cannabis dispensary brand. But I’m also investing in the infrastructure like lighting, ventilation and watering systems. Regardless, I don’t have to do anything but show a rudimentary flow chart of my own returns to provide the proof that cannabis is a good investment. And were still a long way to go before there is universal access to cannabis products. It’s coming and seems to be less and less politically a hot button. So to me, the future never looked brighter for the marijuana business than it does right now.

For the past year, I’ve been actively recovering from a terrible hiking accident. The first 8 months or so were truly terrible and I hope I never experience anything like that again. But after that, I’ve been seeing ever bigger gains when it comes to my physical and emotional recovery. I have to give a lot of credit to cannabis products when it comes to all sides of this process. I went from being on a beautiful hike to broken so badly that it was looking pretty grim there for a while. This is actually a hybrid strain but is sativa dominant. While it also possesses for the body, the sativa strains also really go to work healing the heart and soul. Going through such a traumatic event takes a toll on the psyche as well as the body. With the sativa products, I’ve been more equipped to stay disciplined, positive and hopeful. These are super important characteristics when it’s all you can do to get through another grueling physical therapy session. So yea, without the ability to access the local cannabis spot, I would not be where I am today. And today was a big milestone. My girlfriend and I split a cannabis edible and had a picnic in the park. I don’t think I’ve been more grateful.
