Even though I have a note from the doctor saying medical marijuana will most definitely help with my fibromyalgia pain, the insurance company still will not choose to cover the plant because it is not officially approved by the FDA
Fibromyalgia is a pain disorder that affects so many different types of people. Fibromyalgia is chronic pain plus soreness all over the body. It can cause me to have a heightened sensitivity to pain. When my fibromyalgia is acting up a great deal, I don’t want to go places to be honest. At certain times, the flare-ups will last quite a few mornings or potentially a week. My young ones were complaining that I didn’t want to spend any time with them, so I took a trip to see the doctor to see if there was anything that I could take to help with the pain. The doctor informed me that I would do well to talk with a therapist that could help with the terrible depression I was dealing with. He also proposed trying medical marijuana. The doctor sent me to a medical marijuana treatment clinic so I could speak with a special treatment physician. Only the special treatment physicians are actually able to prescribe medical marijuana in this state. It’s pretty crazy, because there are several states across the whole nation where you can walk into a dispensary plus buy marijuana without hassle. Here where I live, you have to go through a rigorous exam plus screening process in order to qualify for medical marijuana. The prices are relatively high plus insurance doesn’t help much in the slightest. Even though I have a note from the doctor saying medical marijuana will most definitely help with my fibromyalgia pain, the insurance company still will not choose to cover the plant because it is not officially approved by the FDA. I look around to discover the best deals on medical marijuana before I end up making any purchases, so I can save the most amount of currency overall.
