I even cleared out my retirement fund and my 401K just to buy a minority share of the cannabis shop

Quite some time ago, potentially even 30 years ago, I was given a golden chance and I let it pass foolishly. At the time video rental stores were popular, however renting VHS tapes and DVDs was a billion dollar market. It was actually around this time that the first Redbox machines started to come around outside of stores. A neighbor of mine had an opening to purchase a Redbox machine, and he provided to chop me in on the deal. I thought it seemed like a dumb investment, so I passed. I have been kicking myself ever since that time, because I would have made a substantial amount of money. So when my workmate Steve asked me to invest in his new weed store, I jumped at the chance. I came to realize the cannabis industry was on fire, and I couldn’t let another golden opening escape me! The only real drawback was the size of the investment. It was a large amount of currency, however in order to win a good amount of money, I certainly needed to risk big, so I sunk every dollar I had into the weed store. I even cleared out my retirement fund and my 401K just to buy a minority share of the cannabis shop. Now I am waiting with baited breath, because it will take some time to show a profit at the weed store. All I can do until then is be super patient, and promote the cannabis shop with social media and online advertising techniques. This cannabis venture is a heightened risk, however I am cautiously optimistic that I will wind up making a reasonable amount of money in the future.

As consumers are always looking for greater convenience and efficiency in their service, I fear that as a civilization we are losing the personal touch.

Many people spend a huge amount of time staring at a laptop, and are too stressed to go out shopping or socializing.

My good pals and I are becoming isolated, living off doorstep deliveries and rarely meeting people together in person. I am guilty of this just like everyone else. And then it hit me just the other morning that I actually missed going to the weed store. The shop has an online order form, and delivery to your residence for all cannabis orders over $200, so I get some of the best prices and convenience. But I miss walking inside the cannabis shop, talking to the budtenders, and seeing what’s new. The following morning I decided to head down to the weed store for the first time in several months. I recognized none of the employees, which was very strange because I used to know most people at the weed store. They had been bought by a new corporate owner, who had changed the name of the cannabis dispensary and upgraded all the employees. That was a fairly serious bummer, however it didn’t last especially long because the remodeled cannabis dispensary was much nicer than it was before. They even had a bargain bag for very interesting cannabis products. The prices were alright, and the selection of premium cannabis strains was amazing, however I was somewhat disappointed. The new employees of the cannabis dispensary weren’t legitimately friendly, and none of them seemed to know legitimately much about their weed products that they were selling.

I honestly tried growing some weed during the COVID lockdown.

It was legitimately bad in this city, my people and I had several large outbreaks to deal with, and I was under quarantine for over three months.

I had so much time on my hands, and so little to occupy my mind. I basically decided to germinate all the old seeds I had been collecting. My residence has a small fenced-in backyard, so I just planted the seeds in the middle of the yard to see if anything would happen. Only a few of the seeds sprouted and out of those couple, none of them grew to maturity. Happily, soon after that the local cannabis dispensary came back online for curbside pickup orders. I could never have survived as a farmer, because even handling a few measly marijuana plants was too much for me to handle with success. Cannabis has a reputation for being straight-forward to grow, however that was not my experience to be totally honest. Instead I will leave the botany to the scientists, and just buy my weed at the weed store like a normal person. When I have the currency to spend I care about getting premium strains similar to OG Kush or Pineapple Express. When currency is extremely tight I get a lesser strain, one that maybe isn’t as potent however will still pack enough of a cannabis punch to get me super high. The cannabis I grew at my residence was too seedy and stemmy to smoke, even if it did have a nice stink to it. The cannabis dispensary has much better products, so I don’t need to expend my time and energy on weed anymore.

Normally I don’t like to travel, however when the bosses are paying for everything, I might as well try to have a good time. My airfare, hotel room, and meals were all being covered by my employers. All I had to do was show up and take notes at all the major meetings at the official convention. I wasn’t especially looking forward to the convention, because it sounded legitimately boring, however I was looking forward to exploring a new neighborhood I had never seen in my past. Much to my surprise and delight, I learned that this neighborhood has legal recreational cannabis for any adults over the age of 21. Suddenly the boring convention sounded great. I did a little online research, and came to learn that the largest cannabis dispensary in the area also had a full cannabis cafe and a fantastic looking smokers lounge. Later that night would be a live music act playing guitar and singing for the clients of the cannabis cafe and lounge. This sounded like an experience I hadn’t enjoyed in forever. Not only did I get to buy legal cannabis, however I was able to hang around and listen to live music while getting high! The cannabis cafe was another sweet bonus, because they sold high-end edibles in little bite-sized pieces. That morning the convention was a slog, and I quickly headed back to my room as soon as possible to get ready for a night of enjoyable times. I took an Uber to the weed store and stayed there until it closed down at 4 AM. The following night I went back to the same cannabis cafe for another great experience.

I have known Ned since I was only a young child.

He was my dad’s best pal of all time, and later he moved in down the street from my family.

Ned is not a blood relative, however he is still a fairly close member of my family. Many years have made their way by, and now I live in my parents’ old residence with teenagers of my own. Ned still lives down the block, and he drops by to see me sometimes. Last weekend Ned stopped by and asked me to accompany him to the local pot shop. Ned’s healthcare worker had given him a prescription for medical cannabis, however he had never been to a “head shop” as he called it. He honestly felt concerned about going alone. Ned is 86 years old, so I provided to drive him to the weed store and show him around. Ned wasn’t aware of this, however I went to the cannabis dispensary at least a few times per week, because I care about weed! I was able to show him around the store, as I explained what all the several cannabis products were, and how to use them. Ned joked that I should have a job at the weed store, not knowing I had already applied for a job here on two particular occasions. Overall it was a legitimately wonderful shopping trip, Ned got the cannabis products he needed, and became more comfortable with the dispensary. Down the road, Ned can go there by himself, however I will never turn down the invitation to go with him to the cannabis dispensary.
