Tinctures and topicals for psoriasis

I have suffered from psoriasis for around thirty years.

It is an autoimmune skin disease that causes itchy, red and painful patches of skin.

It is characterized by ongoing flare ups where thick scales develop on my knees and elbows. There is no definite cause of or cure for psoriasis, but it can be triggered by anything from skin injury to specific prescription medication. Some synthetic drugs are suspected to activate the autoimmune response while others induce an allergic reaction. Any drug can trigger a flare of psoriasis symptoms. Those medications that are designed to treat psoriasis are only temporarily effective. The skin lesions are unattractive and embarrassing. UV is supposed to help ease symptoms, but I’ve found that prolonged sun and heat can make them worse. Extreme cold and overly dry air are a problem. Whenever I am particularly stressed, my skin issues worsen. I’ve tried home remedies, exercise, meditation, yoga and all sorts of treatment options. I never noticed much of an improvement until I visited a recreational cannabis dispensary. The budtender recommended a combination of oral and topical methods to treat the psoriasis from the inside and outside the body. I buy tinctures and ointments that are high in CBD and CBN percentages. These cannabinoids have proven effective in soothing inflammation, pain and itching. I place a couple of drops of the tincture under my tongue and wait about a minute for the liquid to absorb. The method allows cannabinoids to enter the bloodstream and provide onset of effects in a very short period of time. The cannabis-infused topical is applied directly to the affected areas multiple times per day. They absorb quickly, smell quite nice and offer the added benefits of natural essential oils.

Interested in top quality flower

I am a fan of smokable cannabis flower.

I prefer old-school smoking to any of the other, more modern consumption methods.

There is something peaceful and fulfilling about lighting up and inhaling. The flavors and aroma are truly unique and the effects are felt within minutes. The quality of the bud directly impacts the enjoyment of the experience. Fortunately, licensed dispensaries are very particular about the safety and integrity of the weed they sell. The bud is typically lab-verified, third-party tested and organically grown. Through experimentation, I’ve learned to recognize maturely harvested and properly processed flower. I look for full, dense buds that aren’t dry and crumbly or wet and sticky. The bud is covered with crystal-like trichomes that provide the cannabinoids and terpenes. The bright orange pistils and pungent aromas are signs of the best weed. I would rather pay more for top-shelf flower and enjoy a smooth and consistent burn. I rarely buy pre-rolled joints or blunts, because I would rather choose my strain and roll my own. I have a favorite brand of rolling papers and I’ve learned the exact amount of weed necessary for an ideal smoke. I shop sativas, indicas and hybrids, depending on what I’m smoking it for. I like the calming effects of an indica late in the evening when I want to relax and get a good night’s sleep. I choose a sativa before a hike or a jog. My local dispensary often includes flower in their daily specials. I’ve signed up for the loyalty program, so that I can earn points for every dollar spent. I can use those points for future savings.

Reasons people are medical weed patients

Did you know the number one reason people sign up to be medical weed patients? I figured the vast majority of cannabis patients were cancer sufferers that were using it to stop nausea with chemotherapy.

  • The number one reason medical weed patients seek it out is for chronic pain.

So arthritis, muscle spasms, MS, or even pain after a car accident, those are the number one customers. Then you get people with anxiety and depression. The next reason people get a medical cannabis card is to use it as a sleep aid. I guess it makes sense. If I had to be a medical marijuana patient, my issue would be for sleep. I would want a tincture with lots of CBD and very little THC. A tincture goes right under the tongue or in a beverage. It provides a slight taste but it is doable. Tinctures are very powerful and get instantly in the bloodstream. Those who use it as a sleep aid would get fast acting relief. Other ailments that medical weed can help with are seizures, heart issues, memory issues and even PTSD. Basically anything can be helped a little with cannabis. I just wish all the states got it in gear and offered both recreational and medical weed. Most people are deterred by the work involved getting the medical weed. Then they are going undosed for way too long. If it was easy to get weed, more people would get the help that they need. I wouldn’t think there are too many people smoking weed just to get high anymore.

Getting a medical weed card was easy

I also like that I only need to renew my card once a year, that is it

For a long time I didn’t get a medical cannabis card because I thought it would be too much work. I also wasn’t keen on spending a whole bunch of money. I couldn’t go much longer though. My anxiety was getting worse and worse by the day. So I finally took the plunge and did it. Now I feel dumb. Getting a medical weed card was shockingly easy. All I had to do was sit in the doctor’s waiting room for a bit. Then he talked to me for maybe five minutes. After that, I got a script for oil and flowers. I filled out some papers online and paid a small fee. Two weeks later I had my card and was able to get the medical weed I wanted. I buy both flowers and oil even though I prefer to vape over smoking a pre-roll. It is a huge change in my life being able to have cannabis in my system. I can finally relax and not be a nervous mess anymore. My anxiety was bad to the point where I struggled getting to work and being productive. Now I am much happier and more relaxed. I can drive easily without having a panic attack. I like that my cannabis is much more natural than a pill that I wouldn’t normally get prescribed. It just feels better that it comes from a plant. I also like that I only need to renew my card once a year, that is it. No extra work required. It is much better than doing the traditional pill route.

Weed can make some people paranoid and others calm

Drugs such as alcohol, marjuana, cocaine, and prescription painkillers can change the way the body and mind function.

People often have similar side effects from taking drugs, but for some drugs such as marijuana side effects can vary.

One of the most common reasons people use recreational marijuana is because they feel a calming sensation. Many people say that recreational marijuana calms their body and mind and it makes them feel like their problems go away while they are high. However, there are people who use recreational marijuana that experience paranoia. Some people report the feeling of being paranoid immediately after eating or inhaling recreational marijuana. They often feel like people are out to get them or they are in immediate danger. For this reason, some people do not like smoking or eating recreational marijuana. In addition to feeling paranoid from recreational marijuana, some people also feel disoriented. If someone does not enjoy the side effects of recreational weed, it is best if they do not try to use more to see if the side effects go away. Some people think that they did not smoke or eat enough weed, so if they smoke or eat more their paranoia and anxiety will get better. This does not usually work in people’s favor, because higher amounts of THC can increase the unsettling thoughts and feelings. If recreational weed causes more paranoid feelings for someone already experiencing anxiety, it is better for that person to seek medical help from their provider. Their provider may be able to prescribe an anti anxiety medication that does not have paranoia as a side effect.
