Differences between THC and CBD

When I first started shopping at the dispensary for medical weed, I didn’t know anything about cannabinoids or terpenes.

I had never heard of indicas, sativas or hybrids.

I’ve since learned that cannabinoids are chemical compounds found in the plant that are responsible for the majority of the effects. Terpenes determine the smell and flavor of the weed and are believed to play a role in effects as well. The cannabis products at the dispensary are divided into categories based on their genetics and likely effects. Indicas are supposed to be more about full-body relaxation while sativas create an energetic, cerebral and uplifting sensation. In modern times, growers focus on selective breeding to create hybrids. They cultivate strains with a specific cannabinoid profile and continually strive to produce higher THC levels. As research proves that CBD and other lesser-known cannabinoids offer significant medical potential, new strains are being developed for their curative properties. THC or Tetrahydrocannabinol is the most abundant and famous cannabinoid. THC causes the high by binding to CB1 receptors in the brain. The result is the release of dopamine and feelings of euphoria. THC offers 20 times more anti-inflammatory strength than aspirin. CBD or Cannabidiol is the second most abundant cannabinoid and does not cause any psychoactive effects. Unlike THC, CBD doesn’t bind directly to CB1 or CB2 receptors but seems to increase the amount of endocannabinoids in the body. Although we aren’t quite sure how it works, CBD interacts with brain cells to help treat pain and inflammation. There are none of the adverse side-effects associated with THC. There is also growing evidence to support the entourage effect which suggests that CBD and THC work better together than they do separately.

Getting introduced to vapes

I can buy disposable or refillable cartridges in all different flavors

When I first qualified for my medical marijuana card, I was only familiar with smoking dried flower. I’d actually used cannabis long before it was made legal in my state. I suffer from social anxiety and migraines. I get nervous about going to new places, meeting new people and trying new things. Just going to work in the morning could sometimes inspire a panic attack. I found that smoking a bit of weed helped to calm and relax me. I was relieved when medical marijuana was accessible to me. I looked forward to shopping for lab-tested, third-party verified and properly labeled bud. I was impressed by the number of brands and strains available. I had my choice of indicas, sativas and hybrids of high THC-potency and with a rich depth of terpenes. I was able to purchase pre-rolls, which are more convenient. However, smoking flower can be difficult because of the odor and ash it creates. The carcinogens can be harmful to the lungs. The budtender suggested I try vapes. At first, I was a little reluctant because it seemed very different from what I was accustomed to. I looked into it and learned that vapes heat cannabis oil to the point of creating vapr rather than combustion. They don’t create ash, smoke or odors and are especially easy to use. There are vapes that allow customized dosing. They are so popular that there are constantly new strains being introduced. I can buy disposable or refillable cartridges in all different flavors. Some are high in THC and others are high in CBD.

Cannabis to prevent seizures

Patients suffering insomnia, arthritis, depression and seizures have all been impressed with the effects of it

I was initially unsure if I wanted to explore medical marijuana as a potential treatment. However, the anti-seizure medicine I’d been taking for quite a few years was causing me very unpleasant side-effects. I knew there was the potential for serious, long-term damage to my health. While I worried that cannabis wouldn’t provide an effective defense against seizures, I was also excited about the benefits of a natural remedy. My symptoms can be triggered by stress, skipping a meal or even a bright flashing light. Epilepsy is a brain disorder that has no cure and affects over three million Americans. A lot of people have found relief using weed. I figured it wouldn’t hurt to get my medical marijuana card. The process wasn’t overly difficult or expensive and provided access to every medical dispensary in my home state as well as those that offer reciprocity. I was able to consult with a knowledgeable budtender, explain my concerns and get some very helpful recommendations. He directed me toward strains that are high in CBD and CBGA, including Sweet and Sour Widow, Ringo’s Gift and Charlotte’s Web. He said that along with cannabinoids, different varieties of terpenes can also play a role in customizing treatment. Linalool, which can be found in lavender, mint and cinnamon as well as cannabis, offers strong relaxing and sedative properties. Patients suffering insomnia, arthritis, depression and seizures have all been impressed with the effects of it. Since I started smoking cannabis flower, I have not had a single seizure. I am hopeful that I have found the ideal way to manage my disorder.

Adapt with the times

In order to survive in business you need to adapt with the times and be unique.

I am good about being different from my competition. There are a lot of cannabis dispensaries in my area. What separates mine from the rest is that I have a whole line of cannabis cooking products. I have all sorts of spices, cooking oils, butters, sugars and candies. If you want to make a meal out of cannabis products, I have it. I offer baked goods, dinners and snacks. The edibles in my store are out of this world. I was having trouble staying afloat business wise. Anyone who bought from my store was a loyal customer for life. Getting people to come in the doors was tough. I realized I wasn’t adapting with the times. I was relying on word of mouth and advertising in the local paper. Everything is online now. I didn’t even have a website! Once I realized that I was missing out on 90% of shoppers, I looked around for a cannabis seo agency. I found a search engine optimization company that was just amazing. They really learned into my whole edible display. They took lots of pictures and put product descriptions on my website. They even had videos showing my bakers making some of the products. It was extremely cool. What is best is that if you search for edibles and my location, my store comes up first. I am the first one you are going to see on google and I didn’t even need to use PPC.

multi-location digital marketing solutions

PPC wasn’t the right strategy for me

I tried pay per click advertising for a while. I just wanted to get my cannabis dispensary name out there. There are three other businesses within five minutes of me. I needed mine to stand out from the others. PPC was a quick effort to get some more customers. I was able to see how many clicks I got and then I tracked my online sales. I found that people were going to my website and then quickly clicking off. I didn’t understand what was wrong. I decided since that form of internet marketing wasn’t working, I would try a new one. I found dispensary SEO services to be extremely helpful. The SEO analyst said my issue was the website. People saw my website and were turned off by it. Initially I was protesting this fact. The SEO guy showed me how difficult my website was to navigate. He pointed out that my phone number was’t easy to find and that my pictures weren’t very appealing. He basically begged me to allow him to make a better web design. The new cannabis website is so freaking beautiful. It looks so professional and there are even videos. The phone number is easy to find and there is a contact form on there now. The company even used search engine optimization strategies over PPC. So instead of me paying for every click I get, my website just ranks organically higher on google. I have seen quite an increase in business since my website and ranking on google has improved. They were worth the money.
